"It's a Girl"

This past fall I had the amazing opportunity to travel to India with Woodside Bible Church. It was an incredible experience that I will never forget.
 

In Indian culture, girls are not valued. Many girls are abandoned because their fathers won't provide for them. While in India, I was able to visit eleven of twelve "It's a Girl" Centers that meet in the homes of the Pastors or their churches. Through these centers the Pastors are able to care for the hurting in their community. Because mothers have a safe place for their daughters to receive nourishment and loving care, they're able to find work to help provide for their families. After work, they're able to pick up their daughter and take care of her. I love the fact that families are being kept together! To learn more about this project, click here:
